About Paul Sewell: A Journey of Passion and Progression
Paul Sewell’s career in the automotive sector began in 1994 with an apprenticeship at Just Car Clinics in Sheffield. Drawn to the hands-on nature of a bodyshop, he quickly immersed himself in the trade. After 15 years, driven by a desire for new challenges and a conviction that he had “more to give,” Paul transitioned into education. He began teaching at Chesterfield College, and over the course of 14 years, became the Operations Manager for Automotive, Body and Paint, and Fabrication and Welding. He later joined Barnsley College as its Programme Manager Engineering, Electrical and Automotive.
Seeking another challenge and eager to apply his expertise beyond traditional education, Paul made the strategic move to RWC Training. His decision was influenced by RWC’s forward-thinking approach, collaborative culture and the clear opportunity to contribute to the business’s overall vision, including engaging with cutting-edge manufacturers to stay at the forefront of technology.
Paul is also a recipient of the IMI Individual outstanding achiever award in 2017 and School of Thought Making a Difference in Education award in 2022, further solidifying his reputation as an industry leader.
