RWC Training is proud to announce that Fix Auto Penzance has successfully onboarded its technicians onto the Train to Gain CPD programme. This marks the second major site within the Fix Auto UK network to adopt the programme, following the successful launch with Fix Auto Rochester earlier this year.
Fix Auto Penzance is widely recognised as one of the UK’s most eco-forward bodyshops. As an early adopter of solar power and one of the first repair centres in the country to achieve PAS 2060 certification for carbon neutral operating status, the business prioritises investments that reduce its environmental impact.
The partnership is rooted in a shared commitment to environmental excellence. Both RWC Training and Fix Auto Penzance are active members of the ARIES Hub (Accident Repair Industry Environmental Standard) – the sector’s leading framework for carbon reduction. Notably, RWC Training is currently the only Training Specialist represented on the ARIES platform, highlighting its unique role in driving sustainable skills development.
By choosing RWC Training’s Train to Gain model, Fix Auto Penzance is further reducing its carbon footprint. The programme’s innovative remote-validation and video-appraisal system eliminates the need for technicians to travel to off-site training centres, as well as the requirement for on-site assessor visits. This dual reduction in travel significantly cuts transport-related emissions while maintaining full BS 10125 compliance
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do, from our solar arrays to our EV charging infrastructure. When looking at our training requirements, we wanted a solution that aligned with our PAS 2060 status and commitment to ARIES, rather than working against it. Train to Gain is the perfect fit; it allows our team to access high-level upskilling and maintain compliance without the carbon-heavy requirement of sending staff and vehicles across the country. It proves that high-quality technical training and environmental responsibility can go hand-in-hand.
Stuart and the team at Fix Auto Penzance are true pioneers. We are delighted to welcome them as our second Fix Auto partner. As fellow members of the ARIES Hub, we understand the importance of verifiable carbon reduction. For a business that has worked so hard to achieve carbon neutrality, the traditional training model of ‘technician travel’ was a clear pain point. We are proud that Train to Gain can support their green mission with a 100% BS 10125 compliant, remote-validated training path.
The partnership sees Fix Auto Penzance technicians enrolled in a curriculum tailored to their specific needs, ensuring they remain at the cutting edge of repair technology. 15 technicians have enrolled across the full suite of C Unit modules, ensuring the team remains at the cutting edge of repair technology within a sustainable framework.
This announcement marks another significant milestone for RWC Training, following the recent validation of the programme by all three UKAS-accredited auditors – BSI, RMISC and CARS QA.
