Course content

This course is a re-certification assessment for the IMI MET Senior Technician, ensuring the skills level and knowledge meet the required standards for IMI re-accreditation. Technicians are assessed using the modules below, followed by an online test.

  • Vehicle electrical, complex fault finding and rectification (AOM 007)
  • Vehicle suspension (AOM 008)
  • High voltage, safe working (AOM 081)
  • Optional: Four wheel alignment, return to specification (AOM 012)

The AOM 012 module is optional for this MET Senior Re Accreditation route. This meets the requirements of the C10 unit in the current BS10125 standard. If the AOM 012 is required, it will be delivered at the same time as the other modules.

The new IMI standards for MET re-accreditation now includes Electric Vehicle Safe Working Practices (AOM 081). Candidates must have previously completed an electric vehicle qualification at level 2 or above in order to achieve re-accreditation. If you do not yet have this qualification, please let us know, and we can arrange for both qualifications to be taken together over 2 days at a combined, discounted rate.

What will this course provide?

  • Reinstated recognised IMI Accreditation Certificate and Identity Card valid for a further 3 years
  • Continued listing on the Institute of the Motor Industry Professional Register

Who is this accreditation for?
