Course content
This course is an assessment of existing skill level and knowledge relating to vehicle paint repairs. The assessment observes the skills required to carry out a range of vehicle refinishing methods and techniques to the highest standard, followed by an online test.
Assessment modules include:
- Wet on Wet Application
- Clear Over Base Spot Repair
- Application of a 3 Stage Pearlescent Finish

Who is this accreditation for?
The IMI Accreditation Senior Paint (Full Route) is intended for technicians whose job role involves the preparation and refinishing of vehicle bodies, panels and components.
Technicians should be working in the accident repair industry and ideally have at least three year’s experience in vehicle painting to ensure they are familiar with the skills, knowledge and techniques required to give a fault free finish for both the preparation of panels (existing and new) and the finishing of panels to match exist vehicle paint.
