Course content
This course is a re-certification assessment, relating to cosmetic vehicle repairs. The assessment observes the skills required across three main disciplines including Mechanical Electrical Trim (MET), Body Repair and Paint Spraying to carry out a cosmetic vehicle repair from start to finish to the highest standard.
This course is an assessment of existing skills level and knowledge covering to the following assessment modules plus an online test.
- 3 Stage Pearlescent Application
- Aluminium Cosmetic Repair
- Cold Filler Repair
- MET – Remove, Replace, Refit

Who is this accreditation for?
The IMI Accreditation Cosmetic Repair Senior Technician (Re-Accreditation) is only for technicians who have previously completed a Cosmetic Repair Senior Technician accreditation and wish to renew before it expires. If more than 3 years has past and the accreditation date has expired, then technicians must undertake the Full Route assessment in order to reinstate their accreditation.
