Course content
This standalone module is to assess the competence of the knowledge, skills and ability in determining if a technician is able to realign and rectify misalignment of a vehicle/bodyshell. This will include ensuring that the vehicle is securely mounted on an alignment jig, whilst following the correct procedure, accurately measuring the alignment and comparing measurements against vehicle manufacturers’ data. If the measurement indicates that the vehicle is misaligned, the technician will be required to carry out the rectification using approved tools and equipment to within the correct tolerance(s).
It is a bolt on module to the IMI reaccreditation for a Senior Panel Technician to ensure compliance with BS10125.
