Course content
This course is a single certificate accreditation. A pre-requisite for individuals looking to achieve the IMI Accreditation as a panel technician, it provides an industry-recognised proof of welding competence. The course includes practical assessments, followed by an online test.
Delegates will demonstrate:
- Their skills in setting up welding equipment for both MAG and resistance spot welding
- Their skills and ability to produce a series of MAG butt/fillet welds in the vertical up and overhead positions to meet the required standard
- Their ability to assess MAG welds for visible defects
- They can complete a series of resistance spot welds to meet the required standard
- Their ability to assess resistance spot welds for visible defects
