  • Entry requirements: 2 years or more in vehicle maintenance and/or repair at NVQ level 3, IMI Accreditation or equivalent.
  • Qualification gained: Level 3 IMI qualification

Course Content

This course contains the in depth knowledge and skills required to work safely on any electric/hybrid vehicle including the repair and replacement of high voltage systems.

The practical training received for this specialised industry sector will compliment a technician’s existing industry qualifications and experience, enabling them to continue to work safely on any electric/hybrid vehicle, with capability to work on any high voltage components and their systems.

All delegates will be provided with PPE Safety equipment to use on the day, which includes the necessary compliant Class Zero Rated High Voltage rubber gloves, leather Electrical Protection Gauntlets, cloth under-gloves and a full faced visor.

Note: Employers must possess the high voltage tooling and equipment, necessary for technicians to work safely on any Electric/Hybrid vehicle in the workplace. The course contains two mandatory units; level 2 modules plus the following:

  • working safely on electric/hybrid vehicles
  • using information to carry out the task
